Hello people, I am a 25 yr old male, suffering from receding frontal hairline.
My hair was ok until last year, but I had a knee surgey this year and something went severely wrong after that.
My scalp seems to be more sensitive with a lot of tingling feelings, which I was not experiencing before.
I am already 4 months post surgery, so I think I should have returned to normal condition.

I have very oily skin in general, and scalp is even worse. Is there anything to treat excess sebum on scalp?
I have used nizoral, but this actually made hair fall out like crazy... So I am not sure what is going on with my hair or scalp.
I have started finasteride and lipogaine (5% minoxidyll with azelaic acid) a week ago . I want my frontal hair back... fuller and thicker.

If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thank you.

High doses of vitamin A, vitamin B5, 3% topical green tea, zinc. If you just want a cosmetic effect, you can try milk of magnesia. Those are backed-up by scientific evidence. Anything else won't do anything. Most are dangerous but I take them anyway, life with an awful greasy face and scalp is not possible for me.

Thanks, FredTheBelgian, I appreciate your response. However, I do have some questions/additional information for you.

I have taken Accutane before, which is primarily based off vitamin A. Also, I took 50 mg of zinc along with Accutane. I am not sure if that was a safe move or not, but my health condition did not change from taking them together. During that time, my sebum production went to almost zero, and I was applying minoxidil + Revivogen. I have no idea which one caused the success, but my hair looked the fullest during that time. However, I stopped taking Accutane since last December and stopped taking zinc since May or so. Ever since then, my hair has been falling out crazy due to excess sebum. So, I have some questions in regards to your suggestion.

1) Do you have any advice on which supplements I should take?
2) Doesn't high doses of vitamin A actually worsen hair loss? I've read a news article that stated high vitamin A doses thin hair to cause hair loss. I want to hear your opinion or stated facts.
3) I plan to take vitamin A, B5, and Zinc, but not the other two you mentioned. Do you have suggestion on how much I should take daily? e.g. 100 mg of zinc/day
4) Which form of zinc have you been using? Is it zinc picolinate or zinc gluconate? I have tried both in the past and I couldn't tell much difference to be honest.
5) What is this 3% topical green tea you are referring to?
6) Do you think vitamin A or combination of supplements you mentioned do a better job than taking Accutane?

I would sincerely appreciate your response. Thank you in advance.

Thanks DoneWithIt for the reply.

Do you know what else is causing your hair loss then? I am pretty sure it is excess sebum that is causing more hair loss for me, which is due to a genetics reason. What is the oral spironolactone you are referring to? I have seen posts on topical spironolactone or spironolactone cream, but there are posts saying that spironolactone works at a systematic level, not locally, which lowers testosterone level to some degree. As a male, I am not too sure if decreasing my T level would be a wise decision. Oh and I cannot take birth control for sure :p
