Hello guys, I am very confused. I have always been concerned with hair loss since I was young.
I've been to a dermatologist a few months ago to check my situation and I brought older pics (from 15 to 21 years old) to check the progress of my hairline. She assessed that my hairline stayed virtually the same in the course of the years and she thinks I've just matured, she checked my scalp with the little microscope thingy and she said scalp is in good condition, density is good, no miniaturization etc.
The thing that concerns me is that I went through a pretty bad shedding period towards november, not only on my head but also on my body. I think I lost a bit of density on my scalp, I can see some scalp through my hair under my phone's flashlight or some very harsh light, but most concerning, I think I lost 50% or more of my hair on my chest. Shedding on my scalp has slowed down significantly now to a point I would deem almost normal, but on my body the situation is horrible, I can literally pass my hand through my chest and end up with 20/30 hair on my fingers. I wake up in the morning and the sheets are littered with my body hair. I am also shedding more beard's hair, though not to a point where is concerning for now. Can this be Androgenetic Alopecia? Or another form of alopecia or something else entirely? I've got my blood tested and everything is fine, probably gonna get my hormones checked too.
