Hi, im 18 and have recently gotten thru a great amount of stress (final exams) and off Acne Antibiotics around 3 months ago. that's when i started noticing thinning around my crown area. My mother says i've always had a big crown but many friends noticed the sudden thinning of my crown. i could say i lose a significant amount of hairs currently but some weeks i notice no hairs on my pillow and some days there are over 10 hairs. My father is 60+ and still has thick hair whereas my maternal grandfather is completely bald (balding started in his 60s). Reddit says i suffer from male pattern baldness and i fear it to be true. tho the sudden loss in hair might make me feel it is Telogen Effluvium. Can someone pinpoint what i have or do i have to see a derm? ( my parents dont want to waste money and say its im paranoid). what other solutions do i have?
