Currently around 2.5 years into battling hairloss and in that time my crown has stayed roughly the same which means a bald spot the size of a penny which looks bigger with long hair but my right temple has gone from a weak Norwood 1.5 to a Norwood 2.5-3.

This is the side of my hairline i applied minoxidil (kirkland liquid) to and my left temple which i didn't use it on is still a good nw1. I've been using finasteride for roughly 2 years as well. I think the minoxidil may have sped up the thinning of my right temple considering both times iv'e used it (I stopped for a a few months) thinned out a lot during use and never grew back. I understand this isn't normal for minoxidil but it's my experience on it.

So at this point what would you do? I'm thinking maybe topical spironolactone. dutasteride isn't available in New zealand

RU would probably help. I never tried spironolactone, but it does seem like topical spironolactone is weaker than RU, dutasteride, and finasteride

Type it into your web browser. I stopped using it, but that's where I got it from. Cost depends on if you get powder or premixed, and what percentage, but it is under 100/month.
