What works these days? I've been on minoxidil and propecia.

Guys I would really appreciate some advice.

I use rogaine foam spray and I've been taking finpecia finasteride regularly for almost 3 years now. Sometimes when I wash my hair i also use nizoral shampoo. It has surely helped retain my hair but I'm afraid it is still slowly thinning and I'm losing a bit of hair especially on my temple spots and back...(mine is diffuse thinning really)

Sometimes my forehead becomes real flaky (at the spots where my hair is thinning) and I have to stop rogaine for a few days (not sure if it is seborrheic dermatitis or because of the rogaine). Once when I had a bit of flakes on my face I went to a skin specialist and she told me it is seborrheic dermatitis and the cause of it is worry.

I've recently also started using toppik hairs as well to help cover the thinning spots.... - which works but it doesn't address the end problem.

So I'm wondering is there anything else I can do? In those 3 years has technology gone anywhere - are there any new products on the market that really work and are proven to work!? I'm tired of sites pushing cosmetic products that don't really work

Still the same tried and true methods. If you're not noticing any regrowth with Rogain the you may want to consider a higher % minoxidil solution.

You can apply one of many copper peptide products to the scalp also to help with the irritation. Folligen lotion works great for me on an area where I was getting an irritation. I only use it 2x a week. Its dirt cheap takes very little and will last you a couple months or more depending on how much you use if used 2-3x a week. I no longer have any itching or irritation.

'I no longer have any itching or irritation'

oh man that would be great if only - the skin on my forehead temples does sometimes get flaky - sometimes i think its because i'm losing the hair there or perhaps it is the flakes that are actually causing the hair loss. where did you used to get the itching/irritation if i may ask?

for looks it is a bit like this (this isn't me) only for me its just a tad higher - use the mozilla browser to see it as it doesn't seem to be loading properly on internet explorer

is this the folligen lotion you refer to?

not sure if i trust those reviews on folica - having read their client reviews for other products most sound too enthusiastic (marketing tactic to drive sales?) But if you say it is good I'll give it a try
