Add minoxidil into your regime for sure. If you are serious about your hairloss and have gotten no side effects from finasteride, try dutasteride.

wait another four months... if your hair isn't completely destroyed by then, then wait another year...

lol... just playing. different people have different responses to finasteride, and for some, they see results a lot later than others. Wait til the year mark. If you feel you are below baseline, drop it. yes, definitely add minoxidil.

is it possible that when starting finasteride, your hair keeps getting worse until about the 1 year mark, and then you start maintaining? if so, you shouldnt drop finasteride like you said, right?

Remember, that waiting game is a one way ticket usually.
Most people who respond on Finasteride do so fairly quickly. For me it was just steadily downhill the whole time even up to 1 year.

If you have sides give up, you don't want to be bald and flacid.

Add dutasteride before adding minoxidil, you want to tackle the problem at its source, not put a band aid on it.

I was willing to try Finasteride, but dutasteride? I'm not so sure about that, considering I'm only 18 I'm not sure if blocking all my dht is good, and even then it might not stop my hairloss

You've got a extremely strong bald gene. Embrace it (but do not pass it further).

**** that.

Get on TM or Seti, and add RU on top of your finasteride.

If that doesn't work, replace finasteride with dutasteride.

If all that fails, well... there is always that gender-bender regime that antydhtor is doing. You can always beat male pattern baldness, it's just a matter of what you're willing to put on the table.

i personally don't believe all that hype. If you're not at least maintaining at the one year mark with a notable reduction in male pattern baldness shedding, then you need to drop it. finasteride reduces DHT from the moment you take it. You may need to lose hair within the first 3-6 months, so it can cycle back into anagen for a healthier hair, but if you're still losing after a year? If you're noticeably under baseline after a year? then it's f*cking you.

They are antagonists of the PGD2 receptor. PGD2 is believed to be heavily implicated in balding and thus by inhibiting that receptor they are supposed to stop the balding process. The jury is still out on how well they work. Westonci here seems to be having some success with a prostaglandin-blocking protocol but he is also using some other things like PGE2.

if you know for sure that your hair loss is slowing down on finasteride, then thank God and continue taking it. You make also consider higher dosages, or adding dutasteride or RU.
