What the hell is wrong with my hair

In the last few weeks I was feeling good because my temple corners were filling in with some moderately long miniaturized hairs and it felt like progress, but looking at my hair closely in the front today, I noticed that a dozen or so of the normal hairs in the front have thinned and become miniaturized.

How is this possible. Why is my hair making progress on one front but getting worse in another?

The only med I m using right now is nizoral.

Is it because of shedding phase nizoral causes?

nizoral can hardly help maintain your hair let alone give regrowth

Nizoral is just mean't to provide the scalp with a clean environment, and reduce androgen activity. Preventing fungus, oil, and debris build up which further leads to scalp inflammation is what Nizoral does. It's a small tool in the arsenal that provides the scalp with a clean environment for the medication (finasteride, minixodil) to work with.

No I am sure I am not imagining the temple corner regrowth, I had someone else look at it and they confirmed it as well. It's all not just the corners, the most regrowth has happened in a small section in the front that was almost all gone but now has tons of short but thick hairs growing in.

If nizoral can't possibly be responsible for this, then what is?? Also separate from all of this is it ever possible to have hair thin in one spot but get regrowth in another? or does regrowth happen everywhere?
