I want to use something for my hairline it is starting to receed and it's going to get worse but I think I might have a good shot of stopping it and maybe regrowing some..I've read so many things, so many different opinions, but botton line, what should I use for this?

Only finasteride (Proscar or Propecia), minoxidil (possibly with retin A cream) and Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo are generally accepted as the "Big Three" which have proven results. There are alot of other useful treatments, but give these 3 a try for a year. There are many scams out there. I know what works for me, and I was bald for over 20 years.

Have you used this Naturalis Hair Recovery Treatment and actually had positive results?
Boru, what kinda results have you have off the big three? How severe was your hairloss before you started?

Hi Chris
I haven't used the Naturalis treatment, but will have a look at it now.
I had the classic horseshoe male pattern baldness, shiny skin, no vellus. At first I used only saw palmetto berry juice (topical rub with a heat bag), which produced some vellus, then I gradually added the big three plus oxygen therapy (which is my choice and I can't give you any scientific proof it really adds benefits, but it helped my asthma). Now I have hundreds (as least) of long terminal hairs at the front and top and sides (though not in even distribution), with thousands of new short dark terminal hairs appearing at the temples, and some even in the "widows peak" area, where I can't recall having any when I was a teenager!
After 19 months approx, this is an interesting result. If I sustain my experiment for the full five years, maybe I will have a more even result, and the crown might fill in. However, it is hard work, and I hope that a more user friendly new genetic treatment will be developed, as few middle aged men like me, never mind younger men, would go to all this bother. Is it an obsession or a hobby? Is science an obsession or a hobby? In a few months spring should give new impetus to my long dormant and now awake follicles. More please, there is hope. Good luck.

The Naturalis cream looks nice, for what it is. My herbalist told me that nettle oil is very good for conditioning. However, Naturalis won't deal with the underlying problem of DHT like finasteride does, good for some, but not all. I use retin A cream with minoxidil and Emu oil (daytime), which I will stick with, rather than adding nettle oil etc.. even though it may be good, neutral or harmless.

Chris - you should start The Big 3.
Nizoral shampoo, Minoxidil and Propecia offer you by far the greatest chance of maintainence and regrowth. The chance is 86% using Propecia alone. Use these 3 proven treatments for at least a year (and stick to it religiously!) before deciding on using an unproven treatment. I can honestly say that I have never heard of anyone who has used the big 3 for over a year (and stuck to it) and had no results.
Naturalis Hair Recovery Treatment is a snake oil. Avoid.

Where did you get the minoxidil & Retin-A? Is it a combo? How much does it cost?

I get the minoxidil from any Boots store (UK), and the retin-A cream from Holland & Barratt. I put the minoxidil on first, rub in, then just a finger tip of rA cream and brush vigorously.
