What should I do?

Hi
I noticing my hair is starting to fall out quite quickly at the moment ,
I am using nizoral 3 times a week, I also take multi vitamins for hair too!
My hair has got thicker in places but at the temples it's thinning quite badly .

Should I bite the bullet and start finasteride? 1.25mg per day?
I will be ordering off the internet as there is no way my GP would give me them!

Why wouldn't your GP write you a prescription? Are you too young?

I'm 24 I don think I'm too young, I havnt seen a doctors yet but my gp here in the uk might not give me it because it's a cosmetic issue?
Should I see my gp first anyway to see what he says ?

yes you should!!

24 isn't too young anyway, by 24-25 you'll have completely finished your physical maturation and have reached your physical peak (all downhill from there!), at this stage there are no developmental concerns, so as long as your body can handle it you'll be fine.

He will prescribe it; you'll just have to pay for it yourself.

provided you definetely have male pattern baldness, your GP can give you a private prescription for either Finasteride 5mg or 1mg (Propecia)

the 5mg costs only £5 for two boxes (about a 9 month supply)
