I have been using dutasteride 0.5mg for about 8 months now and although i'm not convinced it has had a great effect on my hairloss I have noticed a fair few velous hairs on my hairline.

I'm about a norwood 2 on the right hand side of my hairline, and would love to turn these tiny white hairs into black healthy ones. My current regimen is...

0.5 dutasteride daily
nizoral every other day
zinc tablet supplement daily.

What i'd really like is a good topical that helps regrow hair. But i'm not keen on using rogain as I havnt got the time to leave it on for 2 hours in the morning etc. Just want one that I can apply and wash off soon afterwards. I was thinking of topical dutasteride but not sure if this will have any impact with me using oral at the same time?

Any advice would be great!

If you dont want to use minoxidil because of its drying time, you can get Dr Lee's minoxidil which dries in a few minutes if not less. Not much work has done with topical dutasteride, so its hard to see if it does work when applied topically. You could look into using spiro5% on the hairline, but that would take more time that Dr Lee's minoxidil to dry. If you want something that has both spironolactone and minoxidil you could look into proxiphen
Goodluck

Thats great, thanks for the advice!

I have a few questions about dr lee's minoxidil that you mentioned.

How long does it take to dry?
Do i was it off or leave it once it has dried? (I'm presuming leave it on)
Is this as effective as normal minoxidil?

Many thanks!

1) Dries in a minute or two (maybe even less)
2)Leave it on for at least an hour b4 washing it on. (it wont make your hair look bad so you can go to work etc )
3)Yes

Ok cheers for that.

I look at it on his sight and he says to wait an hour and a half before blow drying your hair... as i do this everyday before I got to work I wont have time to wait this long (unless I get up at 5am every morning lol!)

I think i'll still get some and just put it on once a day at night times and leave it on through the night. Anyone know whether this will still be effective? Or should I wash/ blow dry my hair, then add the minoxidil and then style my hair in the mornings?

Once a day wont be as effective. You should just wash/blow dry then apply minoxidil then style. It wont make any difference to your hair ( it might make you hair feel thicker if anything )

Thanks for this useful information. I was put off using Minoxidil for the same cosmetic reasons....
But if Dr Lee's version dries so quickly then that makes the idea of using it so much more appealing than the standard version. :)

At least in my case, my dong does not stink if I wash it when dry. I think you may have a problem.
