What Kind Of Hair Is This ? (thick At Root & Thin At Tip)

I notice quite a number of the hair I shed is THICK toward the ROOT and THIN toward the TIP. Is it a positive sign that my hair is de-miniaturizing ? or Is it a bad sign ?
