You're like a Norwood 2 heading to a 3 IMO. You can thicken it up with treatments but you'll probably need a transplant to have some really visible results.

I dropped it a couple a weeks ago along with dermarolling. Just on Finasteride daily and a ketoconazole shampoo every few days.

It didn't harm my crown as I don't think there was really anything to regrow back there lol. It's only been 2 weeks so we'll have to see.

I've started Minoxidil today, is there any chance that hair will spawn into those bald areas?

keep us updated dave plz ; like this we will know if minoxidil worsen healthy hair . given the fact that your crown was perfect .
And to The OP i would really recommend you to start propecia . minoxidil doesnt treat the cause of balding , just hide the symptom

Main question is, can I regrow it to some NW1.5?

Between a two and a three.

It all depends. How long has it been dead? The only way you could grow it back
is by using finasteride, dutasteride, combined with five percent Minoxidil.

Don't expect all of it back. Use the Minoxidil on the hairline. But without an anti DHT
agent, don't expect permanent results.

I have pictures of my hair that are almost two years in this thread.

It is up to you to judge.
I have just started using Minoxidil, but I am not looking forward to jump on Finasteride aswell tbh.

Ok but what's my Norwood atm?
I would say NW2.5. Still pretty strong hairline in the center. Once that starts thinning you'll be in NW3 territory. You really need to get on finasteride to slow things down. Looks like you have a lot of miniaturization. Minoxidil can be a godsend for some and do literally nothing for others. Technically you could regrow back to a NW1.5 with minoxidil, but it isn't likely. Either way gotta get on finasteride to have a chance at preventing further loss.

Thank you for your insight. How to determine whether Minoxidil is efficient or not? I used it for a week now, once per day at night, but I will push to make it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, this first month I was testing it to see if I have any side effect.

Do you think that slower balding process could delay the use of finasteride? I think I've lost about half a Norwood point in two years which is acceptable imo? I don't lose many hairs tbh, only if I pull my hair hard, but after some weaker hairs, I don't see much shed. I am not trying to cope or anything, I've beenvery anxious about the balding process especially when knowing that my dad is bald.

Another thing, is there a chance to bring back those miniaturized hairs to normal growth with Minoxidil? If I could fill those gaps, I would have a weak NW2 imo.

Takes months to see whether you are a responder to minoxidil. Always risky not to start finasteride immediately, but up to you.

I've used minoxidil for two weeks, hair is weak as hell and if I pull it it falls a lot...

Depends, for me it took not even a month to see first success

I can see some progress on my hairline, I've been applying minoxidil mainly on miniaturized hairs and some of them started growing, especially on my right temple, left one is still a bit even but I think it works a bit.
