What Is The Relation Between White Hair And Balding?

Hi guys. I have a query. Do you guys notice that the hair that turns white are hard to fall. While the black hair are most vulnerable to fall. What is the reason? I have seen these things in my case, that's why I am asking. What causes the hair to turn white prematurely?

I don't think there is any known connection between hair greying and male-pattern baldness. The two things have completely separate causes and are not inter-related.

I've noticed this, but my theory is that it's easier to see the longer, thicker, darker hairs, so you notice them much more.

Or may be in some cases the generation of white hair is the reason for the hair fall of darker hair, which then attains the stabilization state. So hairfall stops. It may due to the deficiency of melanin.

May be. But for some cases for example my case I have seen the white hair to be thicker than the black hair and never seen them falling.

I think it must be a placebo effect. There's no known reason why there would be an inverse correlation (or any correlation at all) between your hairs being lost to male pattern baldness and your hairs going grey. Maybe the darker hairs are just more noticeable when they fall out as they are easier to spot.

There no connection whatsoever, if you see such thing it is mere correlation.
I don't know what to say. My hair turned to light color not exactly white at this age. Before greying stage, I noticed hair loss which caused thinning especially in the crown. But now I don't see any hairloss and my hair density has improved. May be this is a coincidence or may be not

Exactly my point. My hair density has improved. Last year at one stage I faced the problem of hair fall*. That's why I started this thread. But as my hair begins to turn grey my hair loss stopped and now density has also improved as compared to last year.

This was my hair last year in January. See the crown area.

Those people are lucky who are born with NW0 hair line. Atleast they will notice the recession in their late 30s or 40s.
