I am approaching a norwood 2 and ready to take a stand...although I should have earlier. I am in the next week or 2 getting on proscar 1/4ths or 1/5ths and nizoral, possibly minoxidil but not sure yet. In the areas that are shaping my norwood 2, there are still hairs there but they are becoming very thin. If I can save those hairs my hairline will be pretty decent, even though I have receded a good amount at the temples, but I could pull it off with little or no evidence of male pattern baldness, just an apparent mature hairline. That was a bad run-on sentence...
So my question is, what is the best way to save the aforementioned hairs and set them back on a healthy course? finasteride sounds like a good answer but the hairs are on my temple area and I have heard mixed results as to the effectiveness of finasteride in the front area....but is that just for regrowth of hairs that are completely gone? I don't want to wait and see if any of the treatments work because each day I wait is another day closer to their impending doom. :freaked2:
Also minoxidil twice a day would be a pain in the *** for me to do...would using it once a day help? Has anyone had any results with say 5% once a day? Are the results worth the money and effort?
Thanks in advance, best wishes.
