What is the best for thickening hair?

I realise that the treatments that grow hair like minoxidil which I use is for regrowth and in the process will thicken the hair. But, which treatment is solely for the purpose of increaing the thickness of hair shaft? I am not discussing temporary thickeners like shampoos or Toppik.

The hairmax lasercomb did an excellent job of thickening my existing hairs. I didnt realize how much until I discontinued it, and my hair thinned out accordingly.

I had thought perhaps that the other treatments were thickening my hair, the propecia and the rogaine, thats why I stopped, because frankly, its a pain in the *** to use that lasercomb.
