I have been on Propecia for 8 months, and Rogaine 45 days. Ketoconazol+coaltar, 8 months too. And before I tried Rogaine for 2 months.

I want to know if I am doing all I can to combat and regrow hair in my temples?

I could control my crown hairloss, but my temples look really bad. Is there anything else I can do to improve my temples? Both, Propecia and Rogaine say they don't work well on temples, so I don't have too much hope now. What do you think?

I have read about spironolactone, retinol with minoxidil, proxiphen, and others, but I don't know if I can improve my temples or change anything by adding these products.

Any suggestion really appreciated.

Thank you!

sounds like your doing everything that's been proven to work. although, no one guarantees regrowth to the temples. i'd say your next move is to get a hair transplant.

good luck to you

Hey man,

you're on the big 3! That's great. You have to have patience. Even if you do not grow hair but maintain and stabilize ur hairloss u are winning the war! I am on the big 3 and everything is status quo.

I did have grafts put in the front after yrs of stabilizing it. I didnt have too , it was my choice.

I am trying retin A before I apply monix at night.

There are a few things you can try.

1. Retin-A (use EOD about 30 min before minoxidil)
2. Hydrocortisone 1%
3. Ozbrew
4. Scalp & Skin Roller (use for 3 min before you use minoxidil) See thread on HLH
5. RU
6. Topical spironolactone, dutasteride, finasteride, Estradiol (not all at once of course)

And of course, a hair transplant

according to bryan, retin-a can be used any time during the week and still give the same effects in combo with minoxidil.

Thanks for the answers. So, I don't have many choices, but to stick with my current regimen. :(

BTW, I found something interesting. It seems only RU 58841 claims to regrow hair in our frontal areas. Found this study with pics, study was done in macaques:

Well, this is the way investigators have been testing medicines for the last 50 years, before launching them for human use. So, I don't understand what you find strange or dissapointing here? :)

And I said in my post that it was done in macaques. :p

i dont know if you live in the US or follow politics, a Republican Senator (imagine that) called an young American of Indian decent a "macaque" which was caught on video, said he just "made the word up"

Not to drag this thread off topic, I_hate_dht, but here's what bubka is talking about:

From Wikipedia:

On Friday, August 11, 2006, at a campaign stop in Breaks, Virginia, near the Kentucky border, U.S. Senator George Allen twice used the word "macaca" to refer to S.R. Sidarth, who was filming the event as a "tracker" for the opposing Jim Webb campaign. Sidarth is of Indian ancestry, but was born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia. The incident has resulted in a significant reduction in Allen's lead over Webb in most polls, and cast doubt upon the outcome of the November election. It appears to be particularly damaging that Allen's mother, Henrietta Lumbroso, is of French Tunisian descent, and would therefore have been familiar with the use of macaca as a French racial slur against Africans.[11]
