What Is Going On With This Patriots Quarterback's Hair?

I was watching the game tonight and realized Jimmy Garoppolo's hair looks kind of weird and you see can see his scalp in the front but his hairline isn't receded at all. I've never seen this before and was wondering if it was male pattern baldness or if anyone has similar hair loss. If so, he should get on treatments before it's too late.
