I am new to this and I see a lot of people talking about finasteride to start with. What is that exactly? I just ordered Rogaine Foam and T/Gel since i couldnt fine Nizoral anywhere. Someone said finasteride is the starting place, but I dont know what that is. Thanks!!

finasteride. it's an anti androgen or DHT inhibitor, basically cuts the flow of the hormone DHT, which is what we (so far) believe to be the cause or main cause of male pattern baldness. rogaine is a growth stimulant and will most likely grow you back the most hair, but if you're not preventing further hairloss with a DHT inhibitor then you're taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back.
cheapest way to get finasteride is to buy fincar (a generic form of it) and split it into 1/4's.
