What is easier to fight, male pattern baldness or diffuse thinning?

In your opinion, either by personal experience of after reading success stories in this forum, what is easier to fight with the Big 3:
The typical male pattern baldness where your hairline receedes and/or your crown starts dissapearing.
or
Diffuse thinning all over the place.

Diffuse thinning... then big problem with drugs we have today is they don't grown hair in bald spots ex: temples... a diffuse thinner will thicken his hair creating more volume and may even regrow some. A miniaturized hair is easier to make vellum than a dead or dormant follicle
