What is considered stabilizing? On dutasteride and minoxidil. HELP! Diffuse Retrograde Alopecia

Hello all, a year ago (January 2015) i started finasteride and minoxidil, this worked fine for me, and shedding decreased and general hair quality stabilized, at least i think. No noticeable loss in density, although my hairline continued to recede a tiny little bit. During august everything went to hell, i started itching a lot, and my scalp felt like someone had bruised it or something when i touched it. As a result i stopped minoxidil (incredibly stupid thing to do) Pulling my hairs also hurt my scalp. Needless to say i lost a lot of density.

Late october i decided to start dutasteride, and then i added minoxidil a bit later. I don't know if anything has stabilized but my ITCH and SCALP pain is absolutely gone. I just get a faint itch every now and then which i think is because of toppik on my skull (its always gone when there is no stuff in my hair after shower.)

So i have been on dutasteride and minoxidil for about 3 and a half months now, and i still shed quite a bit. Its usually thick hairs (when i pull my hair a bit), and when i rub my scalp in with rogaine there is a lot of smaller ones, miniaturized. The amount however, has decreased, but that might be because i have a lot less hair on my scalp than i had 4 months ago.

So yeah, is the dissipation of the itch and pain a sign of better things to come? Am i still experiencing some kind of shed shed?
I also have some sort of retrograde alopecia, the hair around my nape and ears are pretty diffused, and the sides have lost density in several places. Back of the head is still thick though.

This sucks so bad, and i just hope that i don't need to castrate myself in the near future with Oral spironolactone, might be looking into RU if things are not looking better in June...

Also, when i pulled my hair apart, there is a lot of small hairs in between them. Can i assume that these are miniaturized hairs? A lot of them are unpigmentet and wispy, while some are pigmentet but stringy and not straight. Is this because of the minoxidil? Or are they just waiting to shed?

Lots of questions! But i need some support in this time of need...
