What if anything does this mean?

I noticed a recessed hairline in my senior year of high school, did nothing about it for 2 years and it progressed a little more and stopped. I heard about finasteride at this time and got on it in attempt to go from Norwood 2-2.5 to Norwood 1 or better. I stayed on for almost a year and it stayed the same. I got off and have been off for about 6 months now and its still the same.

Does this mean it is just my mature hairline? I have no other hairloss, and my dad has the same hairline.

It's probable. Look for miniaturized hairs...if you don't have any I'd just keep an eye on it and you wouldn't have to be on finasteride.
