Hairloss unfortunately cannot be fully reversed... (maybe in a select few cases).

But for almost everyone here, we're all dealing with something that has changed our lives.

What do you want with your hair?

What are your goals?

Mine:
I want coverage-- to not see the scalp anymore. That's all I want. Also, I wouldn't mind growing it out a bit and letting it run down my face. Nice!

More to the point, I think the question should be what do you want with your life, which is something you have control over.

If you really think that hair loss has changed your life then you obviously did not have much going for you in the first place.

even if you are completely alright with losing hair.. people will still treat you differntly because of your apperance.

oh and to answer your question andy...

I want to maintain what i have. I'd like some regrowth along the hairline but i doubt that'll happen..

I'll be happy (content) if it haults where it is right now.

On a scale of 1-10 how insecure would you say you are?

Well we obviously see the World differently then don't we?

Perhaps I am guilty of seeing the glass as half full rather than half empty, like a lot of people here.

And if I am in denial (you are obviously an authority on the subject) then I am sure having an optimistic approach to life is not going to do me any harm.

I am sorry for having to tell you this, but if you go through life constantly thinking/worrying that people are judging you because of your hair line (and there is nothing you can do about, even if they are) then you can be nothing else but a bona fide loser and you will never get anywhere in life with that mindset. That is the reality of the matter.

Why am I here? Well I would like to improve my appearance. Doesn’t everyone? However this is my reality and it is none of my business what other people think of me - that is their perogative - therefore I do not make it a concern of mine. In any case, anyone who is going to cast aspersions on your character based on your looks and is that shallow is obviously not someone who I would want to share my life with anyway.

EDIT - note to self - don't waste your time with this bullshit.

It's true that bald men are sometimes viewed negatively. In commercials they're depicted as nerdy and weak and skeevy. See the commercial about the guy trying to get through to customer service on the plane ? Why didn't they choose an actor who had a full head of hair for that role ??

But on the other hand, there are plenty of examples of bald guys who are not depicted this way. One of the greatest of all, even though it's a TV role, is that of Captain Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek. He was as bald as can be yet he was the perfect model of strength, high intelligence, discipline, compassion and authority. (On a Star Trek note, gee, they could fly at warp speed thru space but couldn't cure baldness?)

Anyhow, the CEO of my work is bald. So are plenty of others. I think it just comes down to confidence and how you portray yourself. Bad spirited people will feed off of insecurity.

Well I am roughly a NW2 at the age of 22, so all I really wanna do is stop my current loss, thicken up what I have left, regrow in the temples as best I can, and maintain what I have until they figure out how to clone hair that restores my hairline completely. Till that day comes I'll be frequenting this board every so often to keep on top of developments and to tweak my "regimen."

1st step: stop this f*****g hairloss, KILL fuckin DHT...

2nd step: try to regrow some hair to cover my head and don't see my scalp. I actually see my scalp in some areas even with 1 inch of hair, wich sucks.
