Following on from my thread:

https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...ice-growing-hair-long-when-going-bald.114556/

I opted to get a short, flattering haircut. I got a #4 on top and #1 on the back and sides. Please let me know what you think!

Personally, I think I should have kept some length on top, and gone for a #2 or #3 on the sides. I feel like this haircut just screams “look at me! I’m going bald!”

Looks good...are you just going to go down the bald gracefully route?

Your recession is similar to Jude Law’s. How do you feel about your hair loss?

I’m not happy about going bald, but since it’s going to happen, I want to do it as gracefully as possible. I work in a conservative industry and my loved ones aren’t supportive of me just shaving my head since I’m going bald anyway. I’m under pressure to maintain efforts to hang onto what hair I have left...even if it does look pathetic and unmasculine. I also feel like I’m pretty good looking and by shaving my head, I’m losing that and becoming a generic bald bloke who would be back of the queue behind guys who have hair (I’m happily married, I just mean looks wise). My family think this new hair style is unflattering to me and makes me look more bald and common. They think I should maintain a longer style and only shave my head when I’m literally fully bald.

Well, ultimately it's your choice to cut it shorter or grow it longer. I think most of us here can agree that your current hairstyle looks way better but at the same time it's normal for loved ones to react differently. Eventually they get used to it though.

If you feel like balding hits you hard, as I previously mentioned, a hairsystem could do wonders for you. Although it can be a bit pricey, it is worth it if it can put your mind at ease.

ok you dont like finasteride and minoxidil i understand you rly, but why dont you give a shot to a some natural treatments like essential oils or saw palmetto or some kind of vitamins? dont expect miracles but you might get your hair look good and way healthier.

Those pictures are photoshopped and they all like beta cucks before and after. The guy with the bouffant hair looks particularly ridiculous.

Looks much better.

If you don't like this look you can have a look at hairsystems.

Agreed. Some hair systems look incredible.

Also, scalp micropigmentation could be another option, although if you go this route you'd end up having to shave every day or every other day.

The best look would definitely be a zero or one guard buzz. Just do it and ask your family for forgiveness instead of permission. They’ll get used to the new look eventually

It’s definitely not easy lol. Can only be harder in your teens, sorry about that.

But this guy is older than I am and has a family. With his hair in the state it’s in and at this stage of his life I think the best option is to just own it.

I wonder if ppl really judge men who are receding to be unattractive. I am gay and really do not care about guys hair...I care about my own but if a guy is balding it does not bother me...

I feel like since I’ve been in my early 30s I’ve been able to “rock” the receding hairline with far more ease than when I was young. That might have a lot to do with being happily married with a kid now. Although when I had that long hair I did start to feel like I looked like a gimp.
