What do you think about the "7 Year Rule"

I remember a haircutter once mentioning to me that peoples hair changes every 7 years. Before she ever mentioned it, i had heard it before but always thought of it as an old wives tale...

looking back now though, i look at pictures and observed this bullsh*t phenomenon actually holding valid in my case

I have pictures to back up my claims as well...Up until around age 7, i had thick straight hair. Cut like a mushroom on my head, the individual hairs were a thick as wires and as straight...

Around 7, my hair became a little more coarse. I wasnt able to have the mushroom head effect of a "bowl cut" anymore..and my hair began to be styled into spikes. I remember my haircutter commenting wayyyyy back then how my hair texture changed, it was no longer silky but coarse now. Still straight.

At age 14, my hair went from straight to very wavy. I grew my hair longer this year and was unable to style it the way i wanted to because of the natural waviness to it. No longer straight at all, now wavy and very coarse.

Then suddenly around 21, the texture of my hair changed. The coarseness left and my hair texture thinned. When playing with fallen hairs, they no longer had a rough exterior when running my nails down it. They now felt rather smooth if this makes any sense(if anyone has ever curled a hair that fell out your head with your fingernails you know what im talking about)

I wonder if this pattern holds true, what my hair will look like in a few years when im 28. I know this sounds odd, but i could honestly document my case with photo evidence. its bizarre unless others have found it true in their case too

It def does. I had very straight hair until I was 7, curly hair at 14, and now wavy and thinning at 21-22.

I've always had straight hair, no change, none that I could visually measure. I grew my hair at different lengths, thats about it.

However, those changes unseen to the human eye no doubt were taking place which is why we are all here.
