Ok guys how bad do you think my hairloss is and is it the dreded male pattern baldness. It seems to be thin all over. Last year i used Rogaine for about 4 month and i must say it is good. I believe i grew some hair but i stopped (stupidly cause got a girlfriend) and lost everything i probably got. Anyways here are my pics so what do you guys think and where do i stand on the norwood scale?

PS Last year i went two different derm and they said that it would grow back when my scalp condition recovers(Ser Derm.) But what the hell do they know. Also last year had a lot of stress and reading about Telogen Effluvium and the T shape on top of the head I had that but i doubt it is Telogen Effluvium. All opinions welcome.

It seems sparse everywhere, that not just your natural density?

It looks like you've got absolutely no recession at all, as far as I can tell. If your hair has thinned out evenly all over your head, and it looks like it to me, the diagnosis of Telogen Effluvium was probably right, and it probably will grow back.

I'll second growing it out a bit. With your hair around 2-3" long, the thinness will be a lot less noticeable. Everybody says to keep it buzzed short, but sometimes letting it grow a bit makes a big difference.

Yeah, most guys find that it is better to get it cut short or buzzed, but grow yours out a little more.

I agree that yours is not a straight forward case of male pattern baldness. You mentioned seb derm being the cause for your hair loss. I don't know what that does, or if it will grow back.

Wish I could be of more help.

Good luck.

Density is suspiciously similar on the sides/back and on the top.

I had the same thought as Deaner... perhaps just a naturally sparse hair count as opposed to male pattern baldness?

Or maybe Telogen Effluvium?

Wish you the best of luck!
