What can I do at this stage to prevent any more loss?

Hi,

I am 22 and I have recently noticed my hair is starting to thin in my temples.

I have always had a high widows peak hairline even as a teenager, but Its only now I've noticed it has started to thin out and recede slightly in the temple region/ corners. The rest of my hair is thick from my Irish roots on my Mothers side of the family.

I know my situation is not bad at this stage and I am aware there are a lot of other guys in a lot worse of a situation than me at 22, but I'd rather try and stop the process before it gets any worse.

My appearance is quite important to me as I never had anything going for me in the looks department as a teen but now I am older and my skin has cleared and I have grown a bit I feel I look a lot better and I have more confidence in myself. I don't want that breakthrough to clash with the beginning of losing my hair! It's a psychological thing I guess but I would like at least a few more years of looking relatively youthful before I begin the balding process.

Is there anything I can do now to regrow or at least stop any more thinning & loss?

I was thinking maybe just Regaine foam in the temple region might work?

Any opinions? Thanks

Your problem looks pretty similar to mine (hair dissapearing at temples). Looks like you have similar hair texture, style and colour as mine too from the above pics! Regaine didn't work for me, the temples were the only place I tried it, but there are quite a few success stories for it so it might be worth giving a try.
