I have been an avid reader of this forum for almost a year now and have gained so much knowledge already and am gratefull to everybody on here. I am 31 yrs of age and my hairloss is gaining ground on me. I am a NW3-4, not sure exactly where i stand but will post pics soon, problem is i have my head shaved really close. I experimented with rogain a little bit and gained some ground but foolishly got of it cause of all the extra body hair and bloated face etc. I also went on proxihen for almost 3 months as well. Currently am back on proxiphen, almost a month now, as i believe in the product and science behind it. My question is what can i add to this regimen. I dont want any internals at this point. I have already ordered spironolactone and thinking of adding spectral dnc and either revivogen/folligen/tricomin. Any input here would be appreciated. I will keep u guys posted on my situation

Hi, I am using Proxiphen, too , Norwood 2-3 myself (my hair is getting thicker, I am probably closer to 2 than 3, thanks Proctor). One advice that I think near everybody will agree here is: Nizoral shampoo 2/3 p/week, and Nano the rest (I assume you can afford it) . You don't waste time, because you have to wash your hair anyway. Just prewash your hair with any cheapo, and then Nizoral and Nano will be more a scalp treatment than anything.

Because you don't take internals, Fluridil should be the perfect compliment. But nobody know for sure if it really works. I would go Revivogen at night. And then, after a year you can use both eod, morning time, and just plain spironolactone at night. Proxiphen has some spironolactone, anyway.

You said that you don't want to start with internals yet. But with Nw3/4 you cannot "wait and see", why don't you try Finasteride and see what happen, you might have no problems at all, and with that, shampoos and proxiphen I am sure your hair should improve substantially in a year time, make photos...

thanks jacobo for your reply, i guess ill do the following. Proxiphen in the morning, spectral DNC at midday and spironolactone and either Fluridil or revivogen at night along with nizoral/nano shampoo. I think that should cover it it for now. Might get on the internal bandwagon but need to do more research on that first.

My two cents here

Use Proxiphen as Proctor says, after hairwash to damp scalp. Even after 8 hours, I can still feel some moisture in my scalp. I think that somehow Proxiphen is working all that time .And is so expensive (and I hope so good) that I would wait religiously 8 hours at least before applying anything else.

With Nano/Nizoral and then Proxiphen in the morning, minoxidil or Spectral in the evening, and spironolactone at night,, you are doing pretty much what is possible using topicals without being a slave of them.

Internals are a personal option, nobody can decide but you. I think it is possible to win the fight just with topicals, but I am sure internals make it much easier. When you do your research about internals, please check Bryan's posts about Finasteride and Dutasteride. And don't be scared reading too many posts about side effects. These forums are not representative, most people without side effects don't bother to post.
