So just wondering people's opinions on PRP treatment for hair loss. Does it really work?

PRP on it's own can stimulate hair growth, but it is not a DHT blocker and will not prevent further thinning. It does however work well for women.

PRP + A-Cell can stimulate hair growth and prevent further thinning. It's not effective for everyone and works best for people in the early stages of hair loss.

I know someone whose had it done and am waiting to see the results. I've read that because prp can't be patented, there's not going to be much interest from big companies to study it further and promote it. But the doctor that did it for the person I know claims it's amazing.

He's a hair transplant surgeon but recommends prp highly.

1. As I said, it does stimulate hair growth but it's not a DHT blocker. Furthermore it gets less and less effective if you go for repeat treatments and can become counter productive.
2. Not all PRP protocols are the same. For example, Dr Coles' sonicated PRP procedure claims to increase the PRP concentration by five to eight times. There's even more variation with PRP + A-Cell protocols and they have to be applied in a very specific way to get best results.

No disrespect, but the guy is looking to sell a service and is hardly likely to say it's $hit
