Got what I think was beginning symptoms of mild gyno (painful lumps in chest, nothing with the nipple though) after about 1.5 months in. I've experienced it before on anabolic steroids, but this time it was nowhere near in intensity. I can almost notice high estrogen anyway, I start to feel emotionally unstable and shitty in general. I have a pretty good shaped chest anyway though, so it looks like pecs. Started taking Arimidex 0.25mg and it went away. I take 0.25mg arimidex about once or twice a week and it's working fine. I switched to dutasteride about 2.5 months ago. Shedded like a MF'er about 2 weeks in, but it seem to stop about a week ago and I have started see somewhat regrowth at the frontal hairline. Some increased density in front, but it may also be because I started using minoxidil again. I'm a NW2-NW2.5.

I think a healthy diet consisting of lots of vegetable, isoflavones, zinc and fish may be enough if you only experience mild gyno symptoms. Lately I think I've began to think that healthy diet, exercise and mental health is more important for reduced hair loss than many people on this forum believe. Good health combined with proven treatments (which means non-natural medical routes).

Do you also use minxodil and/or ketokonazole (nizoral etc.) shampoo? I think I used too much minoxidil for a while, and I got dandruff at the same spot where I applied it. Going over to foam version of minoxidil helps since it contains less alcohol, if any at all. I tried using Nizoral about 3 times a week to see if that helped with the dandruff, but it completely fried my hair to the point where it looked like I had been through a wind tunnel at 120 degrees.

Itching got extreme at that point. So I backed down the Nizoral to once a week, and added two shampoos that seem to work good for both the dryness and the itching: "Aussie miracle moist" (actually a conditioner, so I use a regular silicone-free shampoo before applying that) and "Define healthy scalp & hair shampoo". I switch between using these once a day, so one the first day and the other the next day. The first one is for dry and damaged hair, and contains australian macadamia nut oil. The latter is for dry and itchy scalp, and contains zinc. I still sometimes have itching in the scalp, but it is noticeably reduced. I started to worry that the combination of dutasteride and arimidex increased testosterone through the roof, and that high testosterone was the reason for this - luckily this was not the case.

Another side effect I think I may have experienced is somewhat increased anxiety (both on finasteride and dutasteride). It may be due to the reduced levels of neurosteroids because of the 5ar-i inhibition. But it is hard to tell, since I already had anxiety in some periods before starting anyway.

Other than that, basically no side effects. No change in libido and no change in erection quality. Still feeling as manly as before. No reduction in muscle mass. I think it even helped me gain muscles and shedding fat at some faster rate, maybe because of the 15-30% increase in testosterone.

I stopped applying minoxidil bcz of severe dandruff issues.I am planning on taking oral minoxidil

The thing with shampoos is it makes my dandruff worse.I have tried many medicated shampoos but nothing seems to be working

I would try the foam version of minoxidil before jumping on oral. I switched from liquid to foam version before and the dandruff went away. I have heard the same experience from lots of others. It is most likely your scalp reacting to the alcohol. Oral has a higher risk of systemic side effects in the body.

Have you tried a conditioner against dry hair/scalp?
