To somebody who's waiting for their first hair system to arrive?
I'm 20 years old with thick side hair, so I only asked for bleached knots at an inch deep from the hairline because the piece will hopefully match the density of my sides and back.
I've read I will need a scalp protector, lace release (using french lace, unexposed hairline), tape and a good adhesive, leave in conditioner and regular conditioner + shampoo for hair systems.
Should I wash the system when it first comes? I heard that the system might be sprayed with something to prolong its shelf life and help it survive shipping, idk if that is true or not. But if it is it might probably affect the first bonding.
System is 6" long, I'm going for gradually longer hair. Does it affect the system durability, are there disadvantages to having a system with long hair?
Going to a hair salon is not an option, as no one does hair systems where I live, although I'm more than happy to do it all by myself.
Edit : My hair has a 22mm curl, does anyone here have experience with curly hair systems?
