Convoluted title, and wasn't sure where to put this, but I am considering going back to university to study, and wondered what i could choose that would be most applicable to what many would consider the future for curing hair loss? bio-printing? Dermatology?

f*** knows, I just wanna feel like I'm doing something you know?

gonna look into it, I have an Eng Lit degree and basic science so hopefully I can qualify. Really wanna at least feel like I've tried to do some sh*t. Know what I mean?
yeah I feel you. You should get it no problem having a degree already although I have no idea how it works in the UK

it'll most likely just be prohibitively expensive, but I'm definitely going to look into it. Wish I had done it rather than Eng lit, but ah well

Without hesitation, PhD in biochemistry, concurrent study in genetics. If possible get part time job or assisting position in bio lab to learn techniques of biopsy and instrumental analysis.

Yes genetics , gene therapy.

In the future finding the faulty code and altering it ...........the holy grail

Dermatology isnt a bad choice, and you could probably specialize in hair loss through dermatology. Then go whatever route you want like genetics or bio printing or whatever. The cure is going to be growing hair or printing it by taking a patients skin cells and turning them into hair or the dp cells that support them

Getting an MD and specializing in Derm won't give you the comprehensive and then focused research knowledge to achieve discovery. Years and energy you will spend in basic academic work over broad areas-pathology, anatomy, neuroanatomy, surgical methods; then laborious rounds, internship and cramming for boards. Of course first you have to get in. The ticket in a top US med school is A in undergrad biochem and organic chemistry (made clear on the first day of our class. And the Prof. knew because he was on the med school admissions board. Big power, big A-hole). Best of luck in whatever course you choose.

You're too late. Several others are about to cure it already. You could study biology, and be the first to completely understand it though.

Certainly would be interesting to fully understand the mechanisms. I always said if i cured it I'd put the product out for dirt cheap as one, you'd be a total hero everywhere you went and two your customer base is endless, you really don't need to make it prohibitively expensive

Possibly. But if not, consider the priesthood. That would give you direct input into the creator of this whole mess. Training in exorcism would be superb. After all, it is called "a curse".

Well, just running through all options here.
