what about this: liposomes?

I would like to have some intelligent discussion on this..

Liposomes in theory would be helpful in delivering topical medications more effectively. However because of how costly liposomal solutions are, a lot of people don't believe that the products you've linked us to are actually using liposomes at all.

I would REALLY like to hear some more scientifically-savvy people talk about this.

how much more expensive are you talking about? a bottle of their loposomal minoxidil is already 2 to 3 times more expensive than the regular one... so this is a hoax?

right the cost of the liposomal solution *alone* would not be marketable to the masses... much more than $100 a bottle 60ml bottle.

If liposomes work, (that is an if to some) they MIGHT be of value if we knew that there are issues of absorption getting in the way of a more effective topical. I have not seen evidence that this is the case.

Has anyone else?

The blurb on that site says that: "Liposomes based Minoxidil accumulates over time in the deeper skin layers, targets the sebaceous glands and provides a constant flow to the hair roots."

Now ignoring the fact that the site looks dodgy as hell would we want a build up of minoxidil in the deeper layers of our scalp? I saw a post on this site from someone who stopped using minoxidil because he felt it was messing with his heart (rapid heart beat and even skipped beats) so a system that allows minoxidil to accumulate doesn't thrill me.

Also, the generic stuff I use absorbs perfectly well.

Again, I would look for some proof that this is actually taking place and that it is a good thing!

Any support for this notion on the website, research etc.?
