Weird possible side effect

Hey guys,

I've been on proxiphen for about a month and a half, and finasteride for about 10 days.

It's weird im getting a kind of chest pain. And i noticed it after about the second day on finasteride. It really worried me at first as it was a sort of occasional, mild but "stabbing" pain (it came on/off) on the left side of my chest, where my heart is. Recently its moved into a sort of strange chest discomfort/pain, which is on both sides of my chest, and comes when im straining myself, or sometimes after eating quickly. Also, the discomfort is usually followed and relieved by burping, so it makes me think it's some sort of trapped air.

The strange heart "pains" are coming and going.

The strange thing is these sound just like minoxidil sides and my proxiphen contains 5.5% minoxidil, and is applied to a water soaked scalp to increase absorbtion (something not recommended with minoxidil due to systematic absorbtion) and i have recently started applying more of it.

However it coincided with my beginning finasteride, so i don't know what to think!

Anyone had anything similar, from finasteride or minoxidil? Help me out guys, it's weird and somewhat scary! :freaked:

Pay atention to the skin around your eyes. If you got any of these:

black circles around the eyes, bags under the eyes, shiny cheekbones,

you may be retaining water. Chest pains are a known side effect of minoxidil. My oppinion: lower the dosage, do not apply it to wet scalp, exercise a lot, use mild diuretics like green tea.

Hey felk, sounds like it could be associated with minoxidil. Try applying it to a dry sclap for a few days and see if it continues, goodluck

thanks for the responses guys, they seem like minoxidil sides, yes, but its only once a day the proxiphen and these sides coincided exactly with my beginning finasteride. I hope its the minoxidil though.

Anyway ill apply the prox to a dry scalp for a few days and hope it goes away, if not... i dunno. I hope its not gyno, as ive had an itchy left nipple :freaked:

It seems the pain/discomfort in my chest goes away after burping... any clues people?
