Hair loss from androgenic alopecia is typically asymmetrical. That does not mean you loose only one side. You lose both but more on one side. I'd post some photos of the top of you head that are not blurry to get a good opinion. It is really hard to identify someone from the top fo their head showing the demarcation of hair loss. Certainly, given your recent history of major surgery, I would give the process some time. My fingers are crossed that you will revert to normal. However, if you have miniaturization or loss of follicular Ostia, something other than major surgical implications might be considered.
