Hi guys,
I am a new poster. My age is 22.I am from India.I have been lurking around for long but never posted one.But I am constantly nagged by this doubt.

I have been using minoxidil-5% and propecia(1mg) per day for 8.5 months now. There are no noticable side effects till now,as far as my libido is concerned. After 1 to 2 months of use I noticed my semen becoming a bit watery and slight reduction in semen volume.I dont know what this means.

Now my doubt is does propecia affect my fertility??Does my watery semen mean that I am becoming impotent??I sit affecting my sperm count and mobility??Also, will this side effect go away once I stop using the drug ??

Also what is this talk about "gyno"??Should I be worried about getting "boobs"(no signs of them till now, though).

As I am from a developing country like India,I dont find doctors much knowledgable in hair loss issue.

Also, excuse me if my english is not good,it is not my mother tongue.

you can try reducing to 0.5 mg for a while...and see how it goes.

Dont worry too much about gyno. Side effects do happen to a minority of Finasteride users but its less than 2%.

Thanx "too bald too furious" for ur reply.

But do u mean to say that "watery semen" is going to effect my fertility??Apart from this I have no other side effect from propecia(like reduced libido). So I f I am sure that watery semen is not a a problem,I will feel a bit secure.

I dont think watery semen has any effect in making you impotent. you ejaculate millions of sperm and only 1 of them is required to impregnate a girl. Don worry too much abt it.
