Was I misdiagnosed?

Hey all. Would really appreciate everyones input.

My hair started to thin around early-mid Jan this year. (or that's when i noticed). I contacted the Belgravia centre and sent them several pictures. They diagnosed me as male pattern baldness and prescribed me with finasteride.

The problem was that the hair loss I'm suffering seems to be all over thinning. Top/back/sides (even eyebrows) etc.... so after doing online research it seemed to fit more in line with Telogen Effulivium. I passed this by them and they said they could see follicle miniaturisation in the pics so it was male pattern baldness

I started to take my finasteride around March 2nd so its been just over 2.5 months now and the thinning hasn't slowed down in the slightest.

My hair scalp also constantly itches/tingles all over. I'm worried if it's Telogen Effluvium that then the finasteride will stop my body from recovering from that as I heard in some people that finasteride can cause Telogen Effluvium?

I am diffuse thinning? Does that mean all over thinning even back and sides? And is that a form of male pattern baldness? Or is this Telogen Effluvium?

Really really appreciate any help. It brings me down everyday.

Sides and back are considered safe zones or donor areas, these areas are not typically effected by DHT and are used to harvest hairs when or if you want a hair transplant. However, there is something called DUPA (diffused unpatterned alopecia) which effects these areas alongside typical male pattern baldness zones.
