I saw a foam commericial and it looked interesting. A few years back i started a big 3 regiment but dropped it in 6-8 months because of finasteride sides. I cracked a can of foam open yesterday and gave it a try.

less than 24 hours later and I can't stand the lemon medicated smell of foam anymore, and my almost forgotten concerns about hairloss drug side effects were back. (admittedly not the really freaky propecia sides, but the slightly annoying rogaine sides...bloated face, bags under the eyes).
Other worries start working on you. Am i on the verge of a shed? Is this going to work? Am i wasting my time?

My hair doesnt look great (or terrible), but I came to terms with hairloss, I didn't think about it very often... for almost 2 1/2 years until i saw that commercial and was pulled back into that painfully futile effort of regrowing hairs.

I don't even really mind the cost or the side effects as much as the mental energy. Time in front of the mirror, time thinking about regiments, time thinking about what should be added or taken away from the reg.

I feel you, it's a f*****g tiring battle. It's good for you that you have accepted your hairloss.

i haven't totally accepted it, but i am tired of caring about it. Opening that bottle of foam just brought on a massive amount of bad memories from my first run at a regiment in 2004. I just remember what it is like waste tons of hours on the internet in forums. Waste tons of time in the mirror in the morning. Waste time screwing around with these treatments.

All of that time, effort and worry just trying to acheive the results in the lame before/ after pictures,

The before picture is always taken with wet hair in the sun, and after 12 months and a thousand dollars and countless hours of effort, you get a picture with dry hair, in the dark thats been blown dryed to its max volume. and even with all that B.S the results are pretty much unremarkable.

The crazy thing about it is that an after picture is like "well ya there maybe some regrowth but screw it I still look like a guy thats loosing his hair."

Well congrats on refusing to cave in to the drugs. Have you tried a short buzz cut or a complete razor shave? the "mental energy" you talk about completely disappear. Give it a try if you haven't, Your hair will grow back if you don't like it.

I probably can't pull off a shaved head all that well, I have never tryed. But I am pretty much ready to give it a try. If i though I would look alright with a shaved head I would have had the shears out years ago. No more gel or haircuts. sounds great

its quite possibly the most liberating thing that a balding guy can do in regards to his mental health and self image, the boost in confidence is amazing.

and if you shave your head, you can find a wife who will lick ranch dressing off your head, just like justshaveit's wife.
