Hiya all. So I started minoxidil 5% about a week ago after noticing thinning for maybe 6 months. I'm 23 and have thinning hair but full coverage besides mild receeding hairline. Here's my problem: I'd like to stop minoxidil and start finasteride, mostly for convenience reasons, and because I'm alright with maintaining my current hair as opposed to regrowing. I have, however, experienced moderate shedding on minoxidil. So will this shed hair return in a new growth cycle without using minoxidil? Or did I screw up by doing minoxidil for a week, and did the minoxidil exacerbate hair loss I could've prevented with finasteride? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
