Walmarts Equate Minoxidil 5% Formula Change ?

I have used Walmarts Equate minoxidil for many years. About 2 months ago I noticeds my hair seemed more oily than in the past. Now I have trouble with big flakes. At first I thought it was dandruff but I realize now that it is just caked oily residue from the minoxidil. I need to wash my hair every day dow to keep the flakes Its embarrssing to look in the mirror when I get home and see big flakes all over my scalp and hair. To most people it would look like a severe case of dandruff. I wonder if eguate started adding more oil to their formula. I have even thought about adding some rubbing alcohol to it and see if that helps.
