As I've mentioned in other posts, I've been on finasteride and minoxidil for about 8 years starting at the age of 32. One thing I noticed is that my hair came in fuller and seemed stronger when I moved to California from Seattle. I know that I had vitamin D deficiency (very common up there) when in Seattle because of the lack of sun, so I wonder if this could contribute to hair loss. I did research years ago and read that it might contribute to it, but not sure it's anything conclusive.
Bottom line though, I swear my hair has been thicker since living in the sunshine and getting natural vitamin D.
