v**** and Ketoconazole (Nizoral)

I just read on a website that you should consult with your doctor if you are simultaneously using v**** and Nizoral. Does anyone know why this is???

Nizoral the pill, or Nizoral the shampoo?

It's probably the same situation as Avodart - both drugs affect the liver in some fashion.

Ketoconazole taken orally can cause severe liver damage. But I don't think it is systemically absorbed. Shampoos are generally not absorbed into the blood.
