verdict on new AC formula?

So is the consensus that the new American Crew Revitalizing spray formula represents a cost cutting exercise on AC's part and that it is now just a shadow of its former self? Should i consider changing to another peptide product? If so which one do people reccomend. I use the revitalising shampoo and conditioner as well so would need alternatives for these as well.

tricomin is supposed to be fantastic, but expensive. still it did go through some fda trials and is considered a great product. they sell a spray as well as a conditioner and shampoo.
