I’d like to get more educated on this topic because it would definitely help me and a lot of others.
Does Vellus hair always mean baldness? I’ve read online that vellus hairs are developed as a baby (“baby hairs”) and usually become terminal during puberty. At 17, I seemingly have many along my frontal hairline that I’ve had my whole life, as well as some around my temples. The fact that I’ve always seemed to have them raises the question: is it balding?
I am fully aware of miniaturized hairs, when the hair becomes short and thin **but keeps its pigment**. This is what is always balding. But if at all, how much are they related?
Addition: Is it possible to thicken natural vellus hairs?
TLDR: Are vellus hairs just as important as miniaturized hairs in regards to spotting balding? Are they important at all?
