USING minoxidil BEFORE OPERATION

I have an operation coming up in about 2 months.

I want to start using Minoxidil.

The doctor told me to make sure I don't take any Aspirin, other blood thinners etc as it will make me over-bleed in the operation.

Does this rule out minoxidil? I know its not a blood thinner, but it is a vasolidator used orally to lower high blood pressure (same as what blood thinners do)

When I had my H/T I was told to stop using minoxidil before the op, I think it will be the same for you, although my was on the head... I was told to not take asprin, drink alcohol, smoke, take protein supps a week before surgery, but i'd consult your doctor/hospital.
