Hey guys,

this is a two parter question. I'm a 22 year old male who is kinda scared to try Propecia/Finasteride. I have a history of thin hair in my family and it's starting to really show and it's annoying. But I'm scared to take this because of the major side effect, though from reading through the forum, it seems not everyone is having it but anyways..

Okay, so here are the questions:

1. Anyone who has taken this drug over 6 months: have you noticed a libido change? Are you less sexually active? If you did notice a change, did you just stop taking it and did you get your sex drive back?

2. Is there a BIG difference in taking the brand name drug vs. the generic? It's so cheap to get the generic at Costco but pretty flippin' expensive for the brand name, so I just want to see what's the better option.

Thanks guys! Here's to hair regrowth, or something.

I'm still in my first month of use on finasteride. I used a brand called Fincom-1 (propecia clone) and in the first seven days I developed sides. I had watery semen from day one and from about day four I had soft erections. On day eight I switched to just half a pill a day and my erections are great again. My semen is still watery. I am currently on day 18.

Do you use 1mg? Well, 0.5mg since you cut it...?
