Hello!

Today I have got my Xandrox and I really doupt that it contains minoxidil after the first application! I have used the german original "Rogaine" over 2 years before & you can smell the unique smell of minoxidil (That is also the reason for the advice on the package that you shouldnt inhale this smell of rogaine) But Xandrox only smells of alcohol..but not after minoxidil! Especially for internation order they declare the packages with 90% alcohol (to get it through the customs)..but maybe it is a bad trick and it contains in fact only alcohol!

Please i am realy confused now!

Regards,

Minoxidil itself doesnt have a 'smell', of that i'm sure...Rogaine itself has a unique smell, but that's mainly the combination of PPG & alcohol, whereas the Xandrox will smell different because it has a higher alcohol content...but i doubt that means it has no minoxidil in it because it's not the drug minoxidil that causes the smell.

I agree with Troy. I think the original poster was smelling something else besides minoxidil. It was some other component of the solution that he was using.

It is no surprise that alcohol is the dominant scent. All of Dr Lee's formulations have 50% alcohol in them, as opposed to 30% in Rogaine and the generic versions thereof. As a user of both Rogaine and Dr Lee's minoxidil, I too notice that Dr Lee's stuff has much more of an alcohol smell to it. I can also tell you that thanks to Dr Lee's high-alcohol, low-PPG mixture I am actually able to use minoxidil in the mornings, and when I started doing this I had much better results. It made my regimen.

Don't worry... I too have noticed what you have noticed. In addition to smelling differently, that slight 20% shift in the balance between PPG and alcohol makes the two blends of minoxidil look and feel like completely different substances on your head when you apply them, but both work in their own ways.

Additionally, I have been using Dr Lees Xandrox 15% for a few weeks. I just wanted to try a bottle, give it a spin, see how it feels, and see if I notice anything different. Now, Xandrox 15% has NO PPG, and no glycerin either.. it's just a pure alcohol vehicle and boy does it smell like rubbing alchohol after applying it. It has been an interesting experience, I'll do a write up on it in a few more weeks or so.

I have no desire to play spin-the-bottle with Dr. Lee. Yechhh.

HUH?? Of course it has glycerin, doesn't it?? We're talking about the stuff with 15% minoxidil, right? That has glycerin in the vehicle...

I beleive you're right Bryan. Here's a snip taken from Dr. Lee's site.

Product 940
Xandrox15: The Solution

Quantity and Ingredients: 125 mL liquid. 15% minoxidil (150 mg minoxidil / mL),
5% azelaic acid (50 mg azelaic acid / mL) in a true solution with a base of 80%
ethyl alcohol and 20% glycerin.

TB*.....I wouldn't worry about Dr. Lee. he's legit..It's not a "bad trick".
