Update - Shapiro/Cole Strip Surgery Decision

Just wanted to give a quick update and ask for opinions if anyone has them. I am either getting a Shapiro or Cole Strip in early 2007. I am also slightly considering a Cole FIT.

I am in my 30's and a Norwood 4. I will most likely end up a Norwood 6. I considered a Cole FIT but I just think for amount of transplants I will need (2000 plus now and 2000 plus in a could of years minimal) a strip is a better option for me. If my results are great this time around I might just supplement my results with FIT in a couple of years.

However, I can't decide between Cole and Shapiro. Does anyone have any advice?

Hey Chief,

To be honest, I am a Cole pt who had a small procedure after yrs of stabilizing my hair loss with drugs and good hair care. You cant go wrong with either MD. They are both great. I think if you are heading to Norwood 6 territory you should consider a large strip session first then reassess after a yr or 2. Strip produces the best yield with larger NWs. What do you think of the possibility of 2 strips?
