I believe I may have a receding hairline at the age of 16. My hairline has started To go inward slightly more so on the right than the left and my crown has started to feel finer despite not being visibly noticeable. My hair has also become easy to pull out especially near the hairline.

The reason I find this confusing is no one in my family is very bald. My dad and every man on that side of the family has a full head of hair and my grandpa on my moms side has a slightly receded hairline and hair loss at the crown however judging by pictures of him it only became notable at the age of around 40

Based on this does anyone think it's possible for my hair loss to be male pattern baldness or something else

it's probably a mature hairline. 95% of men get them between age 14 - 20. it means you go from a kids hairline to an adults = NW1 to NW2
