Hello all! I tried posting a thread 2 days ago and haven't seen it come up, so if this is ends up being a double post I'm sorry. :(

Anyway, until earlier this week when I found this website, I didn't think there was anything I could do to help my receding hair line. I thought it was something I just had to live with and accept, and I was getting pretty down about it. But now I have hope, and that's very exciting!! I'm 34, and it appears my hairline wants to be exactly like my father's and that is NOT something I want! I know a lot of what's gone is gone and there's probably little that can be done about it, but I'd really love to save what I have left and hopefully see it thicken back up. Even if my hairline never moved forward, I'd still be happy just saving/thickening what I have. Weirdly, I almost never notice my hair shedding anymore. In fact, for the last several years I thought this was what my hair was going to look like for the rest of my life, as it seemed my shedding ended. But then in the last couple months it's just vanished off of my head at an alarming rate!! So no I'm kinda freaking out about it.

So here's what my hair looks like right now: http://i.imgur.com/QWnhR7P.jpg

I mainly just want to save that front/center bit. The back is still full and okay. So far this is what I plan on:

- Nizoral shampoo 2-3x a week
- T-Gel shampoo with coal tar 1-2x a week (this is probably unnecessary but I have dandruff anyway and I hear Minoxidil will make it worse)
- Organic shampoo the rest of the time
- Minoxidil 1 or 2 times a day
- Biotine pills

Is it possible that this regimen will work to do what I want? Also, I'm fairly terrified of the initial shed on Minoxidil. I really don't want to lose what little bit of hair I have left. I know it's got to get worse before it gets better, but... it's still scary. I'm hoping the Nizoral and Biotine will help limit looking worse until it starts growing hair?
