ok...i'm confused.

my question is..can switching shampoo's induce a t.e?

3 months ago, i switched from my usual 'garnier fructis fortifying shampoo' to sunsilk egg extract shampoo. started losing hair like anything, hairline turned into an M shape within a month and lost aLOT of hair from the anterior and diffuse throughout, but mostly from the front and temples.

3 months down the line...i just switched to garnier fructis again ...i'm not losing...ONE hair in the sink :S ?...the next day i tried sunsilk again..and i lost a ton of hair...the next again i tried fructis..NOT ONE HAIR!?..just like before the vacations?..

does Fructis Fortifyin Shampoo have some sort of ingrediant that helps?..maybe the sunsilk shampoo irritated my scalp somehow..because this is just unbelievable...not losing one hair when i shampoo with fructis?..
i know in the add they tell you its for people who lose hair and its supposed to make your hair "4x" stronger but this is ridiculous :S..no DHT inhibitor in there as far as i can see...and even if there was it wouldnt kick in with just 2 shampoos..

is it possible the shampoo gave me a t.e?

Telogen Effluvium hairs do not fall out one day after the event that triggers them occurs.

Possibly the shampoo is more viscous or something and causes hair to stick more strongly to the fingers and come out easier when you use it. Or it has some agent in it that helps loosen up the dead skin and such holding in the telogen hairs. Whatever it is it is not causeing the hair to enter telogen.

hmm...dont know..i've got a feeling my scalp was just allergic to something in that other shampoo...my hair seems healthier after a wash with the garnier shampoo.
